Harrisburg Wrestling Club is a youth wrestling program for children ages 6-17. Currently we practice two days per week, Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

Goals
Our goal is to build a successful youth wrestling program that is competitive across the North Carolina. As coaches, we realize the importance of mental and physical growth of children. We hope to build-up children by building their self-esteem and self-confidence.
What to Expect
We expect each child to work hard and give 100% effort. Our practices and conditioning are tough and rigorous just as the sport of wrestling demands. Your child will be working hard. You can expect your child to become physically stronger, more coordinated and fit. Not only do we want children to learn the sport of wrestling, but we want them to have fun. Although we will be working hard in practice, we also incorporate wrestling specific games to help improve their skills and have fun.
Your child can wear shorts or sweatpants and a t-shirt for practice. Wrestling shoes are highly recommended but socks can be worn for an initial practice. Headgear is required for tournaments and at practice it is optional.
Registration
Each wrestler is required to purchase an AAU Wrestling Membership. The membership cost is $16 for one full year. The AAU Wrestling Membership provides additional insurance for your child in case of injury or accident. It is also required by the Hickory Ridge High School.
